Career Profiles
Whether it is at entry level or Michelin-star chef status, disabled people are making their mark in the hospitality industry. Their success in securing sustainable employment in the industry is both a great motivator for other disabled people and for employers who can see the value of diversity in the work force.
As part of the Disability Employment Action project, the Springboard Charitable Trust is working in partnership with i-Work to promote such individual success stories. i-Work is an transnational project funded through the European Social Fund Community Initiative EQUAL and working towards sustainable employment through social recruitment. It seeks to raise the awareness of the benefits of social responsibility among employers, as demonstrated by disabled people already succeeding in the industry, and is thus supportive of the upcoming Employers’ Conference on Disability.
