Springboard UK’s Skills Challenges

(or our version of ‘The Generation Game’)

Objective of Course

The aim of the skills challenge is to demonstrate the number and variety of skills that are available when working in the Hospitality, Leisure, Travel and Tourism industries. The Skills Challenges give the participants the opportunity to test their own ability and see if they have or would like to learn the necessary skills to do the job. This hands-on activity is a great eye opener in to what is a dynamic and highly skilled industry. Leading Employers from the industry demonstrate the challenge and then give the students the opportunity to try it for themselves, as either an individual or a group challenge.

Target Audience

Those who would most benefit from the experience of the Skills Challenges are school/college students, who are returners to work who are considering the various career opportunities open to them. The Skills Challenges gives them a taste of how rewarding a career in the hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism can be in a fun environment. This programme could also be aimed at other target audiences particularly women returners and third agers.
