North West Tourism Skills and Employment Network:
This is a network for employers aiming to resolve the skills and recruitment crisis.
Your business can benefit from our help.
We will listen to you and others in the Tourism Industry to identify the REAL issues you face regarding : recruiting; training and retaining a skilled workforce.
How?
- We will come and listen to you
- Together we will identify the problems and issues that you face
- With your guidance we will act as the lobbying voice for the industry in the North West to tackle these issues.
- Our aim is to bridge the gap between employers and trainers/educators to address the skills issues identified
- With the help of Springboard UK we will promote the Hospitality and Tourism Industries as a first choice career
This is the first regional initiative of it's type in the UK. It is coordinated by the North West and Cumbria Tourist Boards and will work closely with all the key bodies in this area including the Government, the relevant National Training Organisations, the North West Regional Development Agency, the Learning and Skills Councils and the Employment Services.
It is supported by the Hotel and Catering International Management Association (HCIMA) and the British Hospitality Association (BHA).
