The West Midlands hosts 3 exciting trails – all designed to help you see the city in a new way and the questions relate to the professions and businesses, that although diverse, are all aspects of the leisure, tourism, travel & hospitality industry. The trail will help you discover more about these professions, giving you an insight into the jobs and careers that are involved in the different sectors of this industry, whilst bringing the history of the city to life. You will need to be eagle eyed and on the ball to spot the clues that will help you to answer the questions.

BIRMINGHAM DISCOVERY TRAIL

Birmingham, the UK’s second city has undergone a dramatic transformation in recent years. Birmingham is a vibrant and dynamic city offering a world-class –cultural scene, superb shopping, fantastic nightlife, a great range of cuisine, major international events and exhibitions, and access to some of the UK’s most breath taking countryside. The Birmingham Trail is an exceptional city experience like no other.

SOLIHULL TRAIL

The Solihull Discovery Trail is supported by Solihull College. The trail has continued to promote the exciting careers and opportunities within in the exciting multi-million pound Touchwood development housing great shops, bars and restaurants and sited near fabulous hotels and leisure options.

THE BALTI TRAIL

Canals, Cadburys, and Jewellery have long been synonymous with Birmingham, but undoubtedly Balti is now equally part of Birmingham’s tradition – even its Balti Bowls are made in the city. The ‘Balti Triangle’ area houses over forty Balti houses that welcome visitors from in and around the region. The Balti Trail is a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys ethnic cuisine and is interested is finding out about where the Balti begun, and where quite naturally the best Balti can be found.
